What is a good teacher? It is not only a specialist in his particular area and science, but a psychologist too. It is the one who knows how to make his pupils interested in the subject and make them eager to learn it and improve their knowledge. You may study psychology and pedagogy for years, but when you come into the class and begin your lesson, you suddenly find yourself lost in front of those kids. On the other hand there are those who have never opened pedagogical books and know nothing about teaching methods. However when they come to the class and start telling the subject students listen to them quietly and they always feel excited about studying this subject. Teacher should know how to teach not only the whole class but how to act with each child particularly. This teacher would never feel mad or angry with a child because he always understands why his student wouldn't want to do the homework and has a bad behavior. If a student would not do homework or attend your classes it is only the fault of his teacher, because something in teacher's acts or methods was wrong. It does not matter for a true teacher who he is going to teacher, whether it is a five-year old kid, a teenager or University students. The teacher always knows how to act with his students and make them active in the class. Teacher would never feel superior comparing to his students. He always acts as their friend and support. Because a true teacher teaches not only his particular subject but he always teaches students the right behavior with others and should teach them to be a personality and respect the personality of another one.When future doctors graduate from University they give Hypocrite's oath promising to do their best to treat and cure people no matter what social and legal status they have, no matter what financial condition they are in. The same should do the teachers. Of course, there is no oath to be given by teachers, but those who decide to devote their lives to teaching should be ready to do their best in communicating with students. One must not teach if he does that only because it is the job or because he needs money to live. Moral principles of teachers are tending to become moral attitudes of their students. Thus future of our country and future of generations depend particularly on teachers' attitudes and principles. In a case when a pupil faces misunderstanding and ignorance from his/her teacher this student only gets negative experience from communication and angry or scary attitude, which will influence his future communication with people and within the family too. It is impossible to learn to be kind and loyal if one cannot find it in the world around, and usually for youngsters this world is our families and schools. Teacher is the one who is always ready to help you grow and learn, who always does everything possible to understand you and show you the right way, it is the one who helps a student to discover his personality and be proud of it, who respects each pupil as a person and never discriminates his students. Such qualities as kindness, heart warmth and love are impossible to be learnt from pedagogical books and methodology science. A true teacher always keeps them in his heart and attitude no matter what happens and no matter what student is front of him.Thus I believe that true teachers are born. They are the ones who feel themselves as children's guide and support them in their hearts. If you do not understand children and their action, if you cannot keep yourself calm and friendly with your students, if you do not have enough patience and love in you heart, please, do not consider becoming a teacher. Teacher is the one who helps each one of us to enjoy learning, and learning always makes us grow and develop as a personality.
