True Success is Generous

Author : Chris Widener
"Write checks on a regular basis to those who you want to bless, not those who you owe. Be generous. If you are thinking of one amount, raise it a bit. They'll be glad now. You'll be glad now and later." Chris Widener in the ABC's of Success. There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who allow their abundance to pile up and bring them a sense of (false) security, and those who use their abundance to increase not only the joy in their lives but also in the lives of others by being generous.I believe that the truly successful, those who will change the lives of others and leave a legacy, are the ones who are generous with their abundance. So how do we become generous people? Here are some thoughts.First, get over your idea that money will bring you security. It won't. It might make you feel more secure, and it might enable you to purchase things right now, but all money can disappear quite easily. Markets go south, businesses go bankrupt, and fortunes are lost. History is filled with poor people who were once rich and lost it all. This idea that we can and have to keep it all is one of the greatest myths around. So when we give money away, it doesn't effect us emotionally, bringing out a fear of lost security.Second, focus on the joy you bring to others when you are generous. I love to be the one to buy something for someone who would enjoy it, to help someone who needs it, or to encourage someone who would be helped by my generosity. There are always people and organizations who will benefit from our generosity and who will be overjoyed by it. And in turn, they will help others.Third, make giving a planned and methodical task. I write out checks at the beginning of every month to people and organizations that I believe are helping others. I don't owe them this money, I choose to give it to them. It is something I believe in. Every month without fail I write those checks. It keeps me on track and keeps them encouraged, motivated, and moving in the right direction. As for methodical, remember that over time, even small gifts add up. Maybe you can't afford to give or help with $300 today, but you could with $25 a month for a year. There is no way that my wife and I could afford to give a million dollars away at this stage of our lives, but our goal is to do that before we die. And I believe we will hit that because we are pursuing it methodically every month. And when we get to the end of our lives, we will be able to look back at our generosity and see that we made a difference. But you can't achieve those kinds of goals if you don't start somewhere and stick to a plan.Fourth, make your generosity spontaneous. Now this takes a lot of self-awareness because I am not suggesting that you get yourself in financial trouble by being foolish, but here it is: Be the generous one of the group. Pick up the check for you friends and others. I have found that if you are wise with your money you won't get yourself into trouble by being the generous one. Picking up lunch won't break the bank. Offer to do nice things for your friends, relatives and co-workers. And then watch your relationships blossom!Fifth, understand the principle that you reap what you sow. I truly believe that those who are generous, who help others, will always receive back what they need. I live by the principle of John Wesley, "Earn all you can, give all you can, save all you can." This principle brings our finances into perfect tension. Yes we earn, and all that we can, but we also go at our saving and giving with the same kind of gusto! And what happens, but that we are given more to turn around and be generous with again.Lastly, and this is key for successful people. Never allow there to be strings with your generosity. Do not expect anything in return. That is not generosity but manipulation. Pure generosity is its own reward. How to start today? If you aren't currently on a plan of giving, choose a charitable organization you believe in and write them a check - today. And then write that same check on the first of every month. If you are currently being generous with your resources, seriously consider an increase! Even a percentage or two will help you and them. It will stretch you and encourage them!Be a Success! Be Generous!About The Author:Chris Widener is a popular speaker and writer as well as the President of

Vacation Your Way to Success!

Author : Chris Widener
All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy they say. It also makes you unsuccessful. The fact is that a well placed vacation can do wonders for every area of your life. I am thinking about this because I am about to go sit on the beach for a few weeks! So in this busy world, where we are driven to be producing all the time, it is good to be reminded that a break is sometimes the best thing to move us forward in the long run.I know many people who can't seem to get themselves to break away from the office, thinking that they are getting a lot of work done. The truth is that they need a break and when they get back they will be working much more effectively.
With that in mind, here are some thoughts on why you can vacation your way to success.Vacationing help you appreciate your work. After awhile even work you normally love can become a drudgery. Taking a vacation gets you away and after awhile you begin to miss it and chomp at the bit to get back to it. You simply appreciate it more.Vacationing helps you reset your mind. Even though the mind is a mystery, we do know that it can get tired. Mental fatigue. Getting away on a regular basis helps reset the mind to its peak condition. Every brain needs a good rest.Vacationing makes your body stronger, with more energy for the battle by giving it a rest. The world's top bodybuilders, the ones with the huge muscles know something that the typical businessperson doesn't - the body needs a rest. Every week they take one day off. And then they take whole seasons off and allow their bodies to rest. Our bodies are the same. We need to let them relax, sleep more etc.Vacationing gives you time to encourage your support team - your family. While we are putting in long hours and working hard, our families support us with encouragement and the like. Vacationing let's them know that you value them and want to make sure that you take good, significant times for them. Then, when you get back to work, you know that your "team" it firmly in your corner.Vacationing puts you in a creative mindset. Sometimes being in the same situation gets your imagination stuck in a rut. Watching the sun set, listening to the waves crash, or enjoying the fresh air of the mountains will set your creative imagination soaring. You may find that you come up with all sorts of solutions to work issues while laying on the beach. I don't know how this works... but it does.Vacationing renews your spirit. We all need an emotional boost. We need a break from the roller coaster of emotions that drain our spirits while at work. Quite frankly, if you do vacation right, the predominate emotion should be peace. And that is just what you need to get rejuvenated for work.Vacationing proves to you that your work or office can exist without you. Sometimes we overestimate our value to the organization and this puts so much stress on us. The fact is that if you go away for a week, your job will still be there. The company won't be bankrupt, and life will still be going on. We need to know that work goes on, so that we don't worry so much. Get away and don't call the office! So what is my advice? Take a vacation. You need one. You deserve one. Life is passing you by my friend, and in the end, you will know you should have taken a vacation. Your office won't fall apart. The earth will continue to turn on its axis. Your family will be happy. Turn off your computer, pick up the phone, dial the travel agent.... your success depends upon it!About The Author:Chris Widener is a popular speaker and writer as well as the President of

10 Tips on How to Get the Best from Changing Situations

Author : Martin Haworth
It can be great to do something new 'for a change', when it's your choice. It's fun then. But when it comes up on you from out of the blue, when you're least expecting it, it's something very different. So, here are a few things you can do.Accept How You Feel
How you feel is OK. Whoever is going through this change experience would feel the way you do, whether it is angry, sad, frustrated etc. all the emotions are acceptable. It is OK in the moment to feel the way you do.
Sleep on it
Avoid being hasty about anything - let it sink in. The better news will be tomorrow - after you have had time for it to stew a little. Your right brain will kick in - and then you can get creative!
See Through the Emotion
Here you can combine the facts that you have - and be very honest and realistic here, with the possibilities. What opportunities could this present?
Think Big Picture
At this point you can see the micro-environment - how it might affect you and what a difference it might make to your life. But, what if whatever happened was going to be OK. What could you use out of this experience to help you go wherever you might want to in the future? Taking a pro-active position on this will make a BIG difference.
Create a Plan
At the beginning this will be very sketchy, but how about creating a plan of how you can utilise the change to create a better more fulfilling life for yourself. As Benjamin Franklin said 'Out of adversity truly comes opportunity'.
Remember Where You Are Right Now
Be honest about the life you have - it is probably not that bad - so every change you have experienced in your life has been got through so far. Maybe there have been a few ups and downs, but you've probably been at least OK - so this gives you the chance to be at least OK - and new possibilities too! In fact, you might even be ahead!
Be Strategic
In your plan, which looks to the future, use the changes you are experiencing to your advantage. Look out for opportunities that might crop up which work for you. Be aware and creative in what you do and where you look.
Celebrate
When you are going through this, find moments of success - and celebrate that you are in control - you are being creative, positive and capable. It is worth the celebration.
Look for Change
Prepare for change all the time and utilise the new skills (which you would not have had if you had not experienced change) to respond in your interests in future. You might even be constructive in generating changes for yourself.
Share
Share your positive experiences with others. Using this pro-active way of dealing with change is radical and new - share your success with and therefore help others. It's your life, and you can be as you would like. And change can re-energise you is so many ways. Let yourself free to play with the opportunities it can bring.Martin Haworth is a Business and Management Coach. He works worldwide,

You will always face challenges as you work towards your goals. Your ability to persevere will determine your ultimate success! It takes effort and belief to persevere and stay dedicated to accomplish your goal. Three Things You Must Know to Attract Success

Author : Oma Edoja
Everyone wants success. Some people spend their every waking moment pursuing it, to the detriment of all else. For others, attaining success seems impossible. They conclude that it is destined for a select few. The rest of us are to remain "content with such things as we have". Having it all is not "in our stars".However, the above assumptions couldn't be further from the truth.
When you strive for success with the wrong assumptions, you will never reach it.It's like travelling somewhere with the wrong map.Zig Ziglar says that, "Success is a process, not an event," "a journey, not a destination."Jim Rohn describes it as "…a condition that must be attracted not pursued."Do you see the pattern?"…a process, not an event."
"…a journey, not a destination."
"…a condition that must be attracted not pursued."You can't hurry success, catch it, or find it by chance. You can't inherit it, gate-crash on it, or take it from some one else.Success is something you must work hard and long to earn, for yourself.
It has a price, sometimes a very high one. And most people aren't really and truly ready to pay that price, to do what success demands. If success has eluded you so far, perhaps you should try changing your assumptions. You need to accept that:(1) You must go through a growing process, which will require time and patience, in order to achieve success. There are no short cuts. Anything else is a temporary illusion.Success that will remain with you, and bring you joy rather than sorrow, requires a learning process, a time to grow out of old habits and into new ones, a time to learn what works and what doesn't.And you must pay your dues, in full, in advance! So don't be in a hurry.(2) You will need to acquire traits and skills that attract it.What does success mean to you? Identify, in specific terms, what you regard as success. What traits or skills will you need to achieve this goal?
Set clear, written goals.Devise plans to acquire the needed traits and skills. Learn to do what you need to do, to get where you want to go.What kinds of people have what you want? What do they do, or not do, that helps them get and keep it?If you do what they do and avoid what they avoid, there's a good chance that you will end up with what they have.Find 2 or 3 people who have what you want. Write down the habits that have made them successful and resolve to copy them.Starting now! This is called mentoring, learning from others who have arrived where you want to go.Mentoring can cut out the heart-aches of trial and error. A mentor can keep you focused and on track.Once you learn to do what it takes, you qualify.
And when you qualify, success comes looking for you.
You just can't be denied! What a relief from the days when you ran after it!
You fulfill the requirements and attract success to yourself.
Opportunities open up to you, and when they do, they find you ready to grasp them.(3) You must be ready to travel the road to success, oftentimes alone.
It's been said that, "At some point in time, the pursuit of your goals becomes secondary and what you have become in the process…..is what is most important. It's not the distance you go…so much as the going itself" (Les Brown).Parents, remember when you tried to teach your children to crawl? You put their favourite toy in front of them and teased them forward, inch by inch.
They were after the toy, which kept them motivated. But you wanted to strengthen their muscles and teach them a new skill.
When they became good at reaching the toy, they had learned to crawl.
After that, they could reach any destination they wanted, without you and the toy!The DESTINATION was less important. They became champion crawlers in the PROCESS!That's what the journey to success does to you.
It causes you to learn habits and skills that make you "full of success", or "successful".Because you have now mastered the skills and the process, you can keep on reproducing success. You now have what it takes.
But if you try to "gate-crash", you don't get to learn the process and the skills. You cannot reproduce success, in the same or different scenarios.
You do not have the tools for acquiring it; you only have a mirage.
In other words, you have not become successful.Should calamity strike, you are back to square one, and you'll quite likely be there a long time.Anyone can identify what success means to them and go after it.
If you don't mind the hard work and waiting, success can be yours.
You can become the kind of person who attracts what he or she wants rather than running after it.Funny enough, when you are ready for success you attract it, with little effort. When you are not, it runs from you, no matter how hard you chase.
In other words, you repel it!Most likely, this is the reason that success eludes people. Now that you know how to attract success, why not get started on the journey or process that will take you where you want to go?
Any one can succeed, but unfortunately not every one will.
It's your decision to choose. Fate does not foist it upon you.
You can have anything you want in life, if you're ready to pay the price.
But if you consider the process too hard, too slow, or the distance too long and lonely, you have qualified your self as a looser; painful but true.So don't short-change yourself with short-cuts and counterfeits.
You can have the real thing.Go out there today and start attracting success. It's literally yours for the taking!Oma Edoja is a motivational speaker, writer, and infopreneur. Be Successful : Take Back Control of Your Life

Author : Cheri Baumann
What would happen if you lived your life by design rather than by default? What would happen if you took the time to choose what you wanted in life rather than letting life choose it for you?I am sure that many of you know people who appear to be living their lives on 'autopilot', rather than in control of their own personal destiny. They get up in the morning, get ready to work, drive to work using the same route, do their daily work tasks, drive home from work using the same route as before, eat dinner, perhaps play with the kids, watch TV and then go to bed. The next morning it starts all over again. Before you know it, weeks have gone by, months and then even years.Sometimes a 'life crisis' happens, a severe accident, a life-threatening illness, the death of a loved one, or perhaps just mid-life, and these people who have been on 'autopilot' for so many years suddenly appear to 'wake-up' and take a good look at the lives they have been living. They realize that they have not been in control of their own path of personal success, and that they have been 'human doings' rather than 'human beings,' living their lives for everyone and everything other than themselves. What is ironic about this situation is that, whether we like it or not, we are the author's of our own lives. Everything that we have right now is the RESULT of the choices and decisions we have made along the way, even if for the most part they were made on 'autopilot' or based according to some sort of 'should,' 'could,' or 'ought to'. We get hooked into these external expectations of what success is supposed to be and the idea of our own personal and authentic life goes down the tubes. A life crisis does not have to be the precipitating factor to making positive change in your life though. Take a good hard look at you life right now and ask yourself:"How is it possible for me to successful if I am not in control of my own life?""If I am not the one in the driver's seat, then who or what is?"Living your life in the driver's seat means that you know what you want and what is most important to you. You live a balanced and happy life filled with purpose and meaning. You have taken the time to create an authentic, vibrant and happy life, because if you don't take the time to choose what you want, life will choose it for you. You simply cannot be truly successful until you take back your control, and get back in the driver's seat of your life! The way to get back into the driver's seat of your life is to create a life strategy. If you want to get the most out of your money you create a financial strategy. The same is true for your life. If you want to get the most out of your life you need to create a life strategy. The greater the detail of your strategy, the greater your experience of personal success.A sound life strategy can be described as a house. The bottom foundation of your house is your personal foundation. The stronger it is, the less likely your house/life will crumble under stress. The four cornerstones of your house/life are:1. clarity of what your life is like now2. clarity of what you want your life to be3. cleaning up unfinished business from you past4. clarity of the beliefs and attitudesThe roof of your house is made up of the strategies that you set in place to build the life you desire and get you moving in the direction of your own personal success. For example, let's say that I do not have a life partner and I want one.The first thing I do is look at how strong my personal foundation is. Have I set high standards, requirements and boundaries in my life? Have I taken the time to find out what is most important to me and discover what needs are driving me? Do I have reserves in every area of my life and do I look after myself well?Once my personal foundation is strong then I begin to build the cornerstones of my house/life.1. I take the time to describe what my life is like without a life partner – exactly as it is right now.2. I create a long term vision with absolute explicit detail about the kind of life partner I would like to have and how my life would be different with him or her in it.3. I look at past relationships that may be in some way getting in the way of attracting a life partner now and deal with it.4. I look at my beliefs and attitudes that may or may not be serving me in my quest of having a life partner. I reframe the beliefs and attitudes that are not serving me into ways that they will. Now, I am ready to start building a strategy/the roof for my house. Because of the work I have already done I am now actually ready to receive a life partner and have the relationship work. My strategy is going to be made up of specific goals, all based on my intention of having a life partner. They may include online dating, asking friends to introduce me to people, joining a single's club, or getting a coach. There are infinite ways of going about developing a strategy and becoming successful within my own life. The key is that I have taken back control of my own life, and can define it now in anyway that I want. This approach can be used for every area of your life. Once your personal foundation has been built, you can build many rooms in your house, each with different cornerstones, for all of the other areas of your life. Without you in control of your life, however, without you in the driver's seat, you will never have the life of your dreams and be truly successful. Is Success About Money?

Author : John Watson
Success could be just about making money, but I think it is much wider and simpler than that.• Success is doing what you intended to do whether it is a small or big thing.• Success is also about not doing what you planned not to do whether it is a small or big thing.I had three small successes from Wednesday to Friday this week by simply carrying out my "clear the clutter' plan. This plan is to move 5 books or other objects out of my room every day for a week or so and then to check the results.Today, I moved a few books and other things into another room. My book on javascript then emerged from behind a pile of videos and I even began tidying the other room finding some useful info in the process. One key benefit of clearing clutter or at least moving it further away from you is discovering treasures you bought and never used.I have dozens of books and internet courses that I have never read because I have always jumped on the next panacea of all evils that is being promoted. I am also a sucker for a good sales pitch.I need to stop buying stuff; tidy up and find out what I've already got and start using it! That too would be a success in itself.Having succeeded in clearing clutter in a small way, I moved on to bigger things by clearing the attic with the aid of a trusty assistant.Stuff that had been there for years was moved out. I did nearly go through the roof twice and then slipped on the ladder almost breaking my leg as I descended from the attic but a big and highly encouraging success had been achieved!I now feel that I can achieve any small goal.Success, then, is doing what you said you would do or planned to do even if you receive no money for doing it and even if you think it is a complete waste of time.If you do what you intended to do in small things you will start doing what you intended to do in big things and will become the kind of person who can fulfil their dreams. You will also become the kind of person who can make money if they want to.Not doing what you planned not to do is equally important. If you regularly eat that fast food that you planned not to eat, you may put on weight, become lethargic and depressed and fail to take the positive action that you planned to take.If you take those shortcuts in your fitness training that you planned not to take you will only cheat yourself. You will not become as fit and strong as you could become. You can probably guess that I am speaking from experience!Daily efforts to fulfil your to do plans and to keep your not to do plans will turn you and me into seriously powerful, disciplined people who can rely on themselves to achieve practically any goal they have decided upon.John Watson is an award winning teacher and martial arts instructor. He has recently written two books about achieving your goals and dreams. They can both be found on his website http://www.motivationtoday.com along with a daily motivational message. The title of the first book is "36 Laws To Ignite Your Inner Power And Realize Your Dreams Now!" Key Things I've Learned From Studying The Lives of Great Achievers

Author : Josh Hinds
I've long been a student of those who have achieved high levels of success. Over the years I've noticed several common threads in the makeup of the people I've studied. I'd like to recount several of those traits for you in the hope that in identifying them, you can implement these qualities into your own life and in turn be better as a result.Responsibility, Persistence, and Belief in your own greatness - In virtually all the cases I've studied, every person at some point was faced with obstacles that could have kept them from reaching the level of success they are at now.Certainly it would have been easy for each of these individuals to simply blame their life's circumstances for their lot in life and choose to surrender to the idea that greatness was not something they deserved.Notice I didn't say that the "super achievers" I've studied did not have issues or pitfalls occur in their lives. No, what makes them different is that they accept the short falls and get on with the business of overcoming and correcting those things as quickly as possible. My friend, the fact is that none of us can control where we come from, or the poverty that we may or may not have been born into. However, what we can do is to begin moving past what stands in our way now, and start doing what it takes to improve our place in life. To accept where you are now, because you might happen to have less then someone else is simply not an excuse that I hope you will allow to stand in your way.I assure you that no matter what might be standing in your way, there is someone in the world that has a story of things that stood in their way that will put yours or mine to shame... Yet somehow they plugged on until they found the "magic key" that unlocked what was blocking their way.As you move forward on your success journey and begin to believe that you are cut out for greatness be sure to reach for and review the countless stories of those that have overcome what was in their way and reached their own definition of success. Let these examples be your fuel as you move towards your own dreams. The reality is that you were born for great things, even if you can't fathom this to be true at this time in your life -- I assure you it is still so.I'm not saying for a moment that it's always going to be an easy path to follow. After all, if life were all a bed of roses we'd all be living the good life. But sadly, that's not so, life takes work, it takes commitment, it takes a lot of persistence, and a commitment to oneself to be the best one possibly can be.I'll leave you with this final point. If you knew just how much greatness is inside you I'm convinced it would absolutely amaze you -- you would live each day taking more chances because you knew that with each attempt you're one step closer to unlocking greater success. So my challenge for you at this very moment is to get on with the business of being the best you can be. Dream big dreams, plan and put the action necessary to bring out the great achievements you are capable of.Yours in success, Josh Hinds(c) 2004About The AuthorJosh Hinds of http://GetMotivation.com specializes in helping people to achieve maximum success and live the life of their dreams -- receive his motivation newsletter at http://GetMotivation.com/ezines.html. Mastering The Habits Of Success

Author : Saleem Rana
The difference between success and failure is based on behavior. Successful people adopt certain behaviors that help them move in the direction that they desire. Unsuccessful people do not adopt a specific behavior set and tend to drift through life. Here are a few success habits that I have noticed used by successful people. Building these habits into your nervous system will help you to achieve successKeeping things neat, clean, and organized. When there is dirt, clutter, and chaos, confusion develops. Not only do you spend time looking for things or sorting through things, you also have to deal with the frustration of forgetting to do important tasks. Order is essential to progress.Taking action. The action that is taken is actually threefold. It is first, mental action. Seeing, feeling, and believing in the goal. The second action, preparation. This is a time for study, practice, or researching what needs to be done. And the third action, is, of course, physical. Here the goal is acted upon directly because there is a clear vision, understanding of implementation, and the will to take effort.Placing priorities.Since time and energy are limited, a huge goal list often means that not a single one will be done. The best way to make rapid progress is to break the list into four essential goals. Once these are achieved, you can work on the next four on your huge list. Often people desiring to change every aspect of their lives take on too much, with the result that they quickly become overwhelmed and then tend to drop everything.Seeking mutual victory. The idea of competition is not often a healthy one. Cooperation is a much higher ideal. The win-lose dynamics may be fine for sports, but, in real life, things are often too complex to gain much from dominance. A win-win arrangement is preferable.Understanding and empathy. When we understand where someone is coming from, it's much easier to create rapport and harmony and come to a win-win outcome. Often we try to impress upon others our view before understanding what is happening with them. Assumptions are usually erroneous and only lead to failure for everyone concerned. These are just a few habit traits which if you adopt will make your life easier.Of course, you have to tailor everything according to what works for you. But the main thing is to become aware that success is not an accident, but a way of acting with conscious, willful intent.Success is not some elusive experience. It's simply a question of implementing the right mindset.Resource BoxSaleem Rana got his masters in psychotherapy from California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, Ca., 15 years ago and now resides in Denver, Colorado. 5 Key Ingredients of Business Success

Author : Abel Cheng
What do you need to have for a successful business? Many people focus too much on the money part and neglect other important ingredients of a successful business. Here's the list of key ingredients for business success:1) Time: You must understand that time is money. In business, our objective is to make money. Period. But the question is how productively you convert your time into money. Are you making full use of your time or you just let the time pass by you?How much you make depends on how good you are at converting time to money. If you are already productive, then you may want to ask what are the things you can do to
improve further the ratio of dollar/second? If you are making $0.01/second, what you can do to make it $0.02/second? Or even more. Remember time is the most valuable asset and once it's gone, it's gone. Also time is also the fairest distribution of resources every human being receives.2) People: To be successful in business, you must have people connections. I mean the right people. People consist of customers, suppliers, partners, staff, and associates. One thing that you must not leave out is your mentor or coach. Having genuine mentors or coaches is very important and it can make a very big difference in your business. If you are serious about improving your life or business, and you are looking for a coach, I might be able to help. Drop me an email at http://www.abelcheng.com/contactTo make sure that you have more profits, you must serve people well. Organize your database of people connections. By simply knowing who does what, who supplies what, who needs what, where to get what make you miles ahead of other people. To organize your connections, you can either use a paper folder or computer spreadsheet.3) Knowledge and Skills: When I talk about knowledge and skills, I am not referring to academic knowledge that you find in schools or colleges. What's more important to you
is knowledge and skills that can bring you results you want. How many MBA holders that you know of have become business owners and have made tones of money? That shows getting the right knowledge and skills is important. Don't blindly go after knowledge that could drown you. Go for knowledge and skills that are universally tested and proven.Examples of right knowledge and skills are where to get what from who, money making trends, marketing strategies, art of dealing with people, negotiation skills, selling skills, skills of managing and growing money, investment skills, universal laws of success, and more. Don't waste time on unnecessary knowledge as I went through that before. There's only so much that you need to know and learn. Be sharp and focus when you acquire knowledge and skills. Don't follow what normal people do.4) Personal Health: In fact, this is the most important ingredient of all. How can you run a business without a healthy body? In order to maintain an optimum health, you have to provide your body with proper nutrients and sufficient exercise. And also don't forget about emotional well being. Don't let anger and other negative emotions control you. This is where positive and empowering attitudes come into play. Maintaining your body is just like maintaining your car. If you send your car to workshop for regular service and pump petrol regularly, why don't you do the same for your body? It's something for you to think about. Don't be stingy over spending money for your own health because physical and mental health can cause you a lot of money in the long run if your body is not taken care of properly.5) Money: Let's face it. It does take money to make money even you need a little. But you might not need a lot of money to start a business because there are many ways to
start one with low capital.I meet a lot of people who want to be rich but are not willing to invest the money. You must invest in something in order to for you to get something. The law of sowing and
reaping is at work. Don't expect something without investing anything. Money is one of the investments you need to make.Even though you don't need to have a capital for your business, but at least you must be able to cover your expenses while building your business. You also need money to buy products to stock up and other stuff. So, you must at least come up with whatever amount that you have to start a business. These are the five basic ingredients of business success. Do your best to acquire or grow or invest in these ingredients. But the good thing is you don't need to have a perfect combination of ingredients to get started. You can still perfect the ingredients along the way. Somehow, get it started with what you've got.Abel Cheng offers small and medium enterprises exclusive global profits insider tips in his free publication, Abel Cheng's Business Diary. Limiting Beliefs - How to Break Through the Barrier

Author : Petra Rankin
Circus trainers used to tie a chain around a baby elephant's
ankle to stop it from escaping. The chain would be connected
to a tall spike which was hammered deep into the ground.
As a baby, the elephant was not strong enough to pull out
the spike, and so it learned not to try. As the elephant
became fully grown, it continued to believe that it could
not escape, even though it was easily strong enough. The moral of the story is:If you don't test some of your old, limiting beliefs, you
will stay stuck in your present circumstances. So how many invisible chains do you have tied around your
ankles?Successful people have learned how to break through those
limiting beliefs that hold them back from achieving their
goals. For example, they believe they are not too old to
try something new - they are wise. Nor are they too young
- they have energy. Unlike the elephant destined
to walk around and around in circles, successful people
choose a direction and don't give up until they get there. You can free yourself from chains and spikes in all areas
of your life. Is there a situation you seem to find
yourself in time and time again? Do you feel "stuck"? If
so, pick one thing hat you feel could be holding you back
from achieving success. That is a strong limiting belief.Chances are, just like the elephant doubting its own
strength, you are doubting your own ability. Try acting
"as if" you don't have that belief any more, and see what
kind of results you get. You just might surprise yourself!

Set Your Mind For Success

Author : Juanita Bellavance
Did you know you can literally program your mind so your thoughts will move you toward success naturally? Think about it. Through repetition you learned what you know now whether positive or negative. It only makes sense that through repetition you can intentionally learn anything. Most of our lives are spent learning almost by accident. The exciting thing about childhood is that discovery is the main source of knowledge. The exciting thing about adulthood is that we can learn on purpose, intentionally.Remember how teachers used to have students write a sentence 100 times to keep them from breaking a rule again? I remember writing "I will not chew gum in school" 100 times one year. I took the punishment on as a challenge to see how many times I could write the sentence per notebook paper line across and then how many between lines. I found I could get five rows between the lines and five columns across. Once I completed the punishment, I really did quit chewing gum in school. I did not want to take a chance on having to spend so much of my time writing the sentence again. The challenge of it was over. What does this have to do with your success? You can do the same thing to set your mind toward anything you want to quit or anything you want to accomplish. What is known about this technique now can advance you forward in simple or complex goals. The thing is, before you will be able to program yourself for a complex goal, you will need to write out a powerful statement that is void of all negative self-talk. There are special techniques for getting your statement clear, succinct and without the bad self-talk "trigger." As you read the statement, your subconscious mind must agree it's possible for the technique to work. Otherwise, as you read, your "little voice" in your head will keep putting out the negative self talk. This technique is somewhat similar to the affirmation techniques you may have heard about in the past. Yet this way of writing your mental program goes deeper and is more specific than the traditional affirmations you may be accustomed to.The technique I am describing is called Cybernetic Transposition. I invite you to give it a try.Using this technique, I created a mental statement in December, 2004 to keep me focused on my goals in spite of family and friends and my desire to be with them. I was sabotaging my ultimate financial freedom goals and using my family and friends as my excuse. My ultimate goal was to create wealth that would actually give me the freedom to spend more time with my family and friends. As a result of applying the technique I have mentioned here, I was able to eliminate the constant struggle my "little voice" self-talk was creating and broke through that constant tugging. As a result, I am now well on the path to achieving my goals and I notice my family members are also more focused in the direction of their ultimate goals and dreams.Set your mind and enjoy the process!Juanita Bellavance, the author of this article can be contacted at jjbellava@mycopywritingspecialist.comStuart Lichtman, author of How To Get Lots of Money for Anything - Fast is a master coach and trainer of the Cybernetic Transposition technique. Success Secrets - What They Taught You About Success Back in 10th Grade

Author : Mike Litman
Let me say this to get it out of the way early.I really enjoy getting feedback and suggestions from my greatreaders. It's fantastic stuff.Onward.I was going through my email inbox yesterday and received an email from one of my great readers, Mark Shiel. Before I share his email with you, I just want to let you in onthe story that will 'bring home' Mark's email. You remember when you were in High School and you had Science classes?Sure, we all do.Maybe it was 10th grade or 11th grade, but in class we learned some things we've probably never used as adults and we did some experiments in class.I know I wasn't too big a fan of this stuff, but we all did itanyway.I think I was in 10th grade when my teacher taught me these 2science principles:1) A body in motion tends to stay in motion.2) A body at rest tends to stay at rest. When I was taught them, I really didn't see the point in learningthem, did you?Well, if you did or didn't it doesn't matter, so here's thepoint.Read the email Mark sent me yesterday. So Mike, you sent out an e-mail last week (at least I think, time flies!) about taking one or two success nuggets and apply them (good way to keep it simple!).So just what success nuggets are YOU using right now?Take care,MarkLet me answer Mark's question here and show you why we learned a MAJOR success principle in Science class. The greatest 'success nugget' I've ever learned is one I'm usingright now on a project of mine that seems a bit overwhelming. IIf I looked at completing the entire project at once, I'd never have started it.Here's a nugget I'm using right now on this project:***You Don't Have To Get It Right, You Just Have To Get It Going.Le me say that again.***You Don't Have To Get It Right, You Just Have To Get It Going.Remember, science told us 'A body in motion tends to stay in motion.'That's why this principle works so well.Because when you get started, when you begin, you set YOURSELF inmotion and the MOTION gets things done.Too many people just sit still and think about starting. For many people, years have passed and they haven't seen much results. One of the reasons I'm so passionate about my 'Power ofConcentration Success System' is because it gets you off your tail and shows you the MINDSET you need to make it big.Seriously, if you don't own this product, you're losing $3,000+ dollars a month. If you do own it, APPLY IT. I used to sit in Science class and never pay much attention, maybe you did the same, but either way, GET yourself in MOTION.***You Don't Have To Get It Right, You Just Have To Get It Going. One of the reasons I failed for 7 years in going for my dreams isI didn't know how to turn my passion into profit. Then one day I got so fed up and just put myself in MOTION and got in going. This PRINCIPLE always works. After getting it going and building a million dollar plusbusiness, I put all my secrets to becoming financially fr.ee at 30 into 'The Ultimate Lifestyle Workshop'.Anybody who doesn't own this is losing at least $10,000 per monthbecause I teach you my secrets to mak.ing money. Say this out loud:***I Don't Have To Get It Right, I Just Have To Get It Going.Talk to you soon.Mike Litman

Thinking About Winners

Author : Lance Winslow
Have you ever thought about what makes a superstar? What attributes we admire in our heroes? Do you ever wonder were all the extra ordinary men have gone? Watch the movies that shaped our modern era, the ones which make you think about what it takes to win and what it means to be an American; what do you see? Some of the movies made heroes out of movie stars. First Blood, Rocky, Top Gun, Karate Kid, Vision Quest, Star Wars, etc. People need that, they want to emulate those traits and that success, but realize it does not happen without sacrifice. What happened to Americas driven attitude? We seem to see glimpses of it recently during tragedies; we see heroes, but why stop there? We can form a sense of service, commitment and quality in every American and get back to what made us great in the first place; if we will commit our selves to go beyond and persevere. To do what ever it takes and never give up. We still have it in us as Americans, much is the strength and will in our genes passed down; yes we are great, and anyone who says we are not, is wrong, dead wrong. Why is it so un-politically correct to say it, after all it is the truth, we really are great. We are a great people and we live in a great nation.Let us celebrate the noblest amongst us, that spirit that lives inside of each of us. That is what it is to be American. Let us give back the individualism that brought us here through individual accomplishments and hardships. Realize some gave the ultimate sacrifice. Surely we have not run out of heroes, they are everywhere. It seems lately any one who starts to stand out, is quickly labeled and cut down. Almost as if the media, builds them up, just so they can burn them down later in the future for a good piece on the nightly news. America use to love her winners, now we seem to in our laziness, over weight, Prozac lifestyles, enjoy more the tearing down of the weak in order to make ourselves feel better. Why do we do that? Be strong, go beyond, show your strength, refuse to give up, press on and never give up. Be a silent hero amongst the masses. Join us in strength, wake yourself up and be alive. Do you have the right stuff? Don't tear down the strongest among us; join us. Be a winner. Anyway think on this.Lance Winslow

Personal Power: Implementing Change from the Inside Out

Author : Paul McNeese
Personal power is an INSIDE JOB. It doesn't mean getting other people to do what you want them to; it means getting yourself moving toward your goals. What creates the power is a series of attitudinal realities which you create for yourself and by yourself. Therefore, the key resource in managing change is YOU.First and foremost, RESPECT YOURSELF. Are you hard on yourself, self-critical? Cut it out! Do you tend to minimize your strengths and focus on your shortcomings? Cut it out! Do you tend to blame yourself, no matter what the truth is, when things go wrong? Cut it out! YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME! A positive attitude begins with self-respect.Second: FACE THE FUTURE. Another way to say this is to LET GO. SURRENDER to the reality that things are changing and that you must, therefore, change, too. If you're one of those whose job may be in jeopardy because of downsizing, a corporate move or an economic downturn in your industry, don't make the mistake of hanging on and hoping it won't happen. Move in the direction of your options -- that is, your FUTURE –rather than staying in your stuck place, which is your PAST history and patterns. Change, among other things, is a monkey wrench thrown into the mechanism of your expectations about yourself, your job, your life.Third: the fastest and perhaps the best way to move forward is to learn how to SAY GOODBYE to the past before welcoming (or, at least, accepting) the future. Granted, it's difficult to part with what's familiar -- even if the familiar is painful. But it's a necessary action, so get on with it, because no matter how much you'd like things to return to normal, they won't - because there's no such thing as normal any more. And the sooner you do this, the less time you'll waste with unproductive stuff.
Fourth: as you adapt to change, particularly during the DENIAL and RESISTANCE phases of your personal journey, you'll likely find yourself vacillating back and forth between the exciting possibilities that represent future SUCCESS and the dreaded catastrophes that could mark future FAILURE. When you observe these feelings of denial and resistance, it's time to work on creating POSSIBILITY ATTITUDES and BEHAVIORS.
Fifth and finally, how does one create those attitudes and behaviors? This is a separate job, and it involves five actions:· TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. This is a tall order for many of us, because we've learned how to pass the buck very effectively -- to our families, our schooling, our significant others, to anything outside of ourselves. We BLAME. So, instead of viewing the world as something that's happening to you, view it as something you're creating by your thoughts and actions. You'll be amazed at the power of choice you get from this.· EXPERIMENT. Always look for the evidence when you hear negatives. Questions like "Who says?" and "Is this always true?" are valuable kinds of detective work to do. What you'll often find is that nobody knows and it isn't always true. That's good information to have if you're trying to be positive about things. Now, here's the NEW AGE stuff. But, amazingly, it works, and there's a formula. Point three in this series of five…· CREATE AFFIRMATIONS. Picture yourself in an ideal situation and then verbalize it. Yes, you really have to say it - out loud (and, at least at the beginning, in private, I'm sure). Use colorful, descriptive adverbs and adjectives. Also, use the present tense and the "I" approach. Don't talk about the situation, talk about YOU IN THE SITUATION. For example, in applying for a job you might affirm, "I am moving effortlessly toward getting a wonderful job in a terrific company, and I deserve the job I'm getting." Sound a little sick? Maybe…but rest assured, it works. Try it.· PRACTICE VISIONING. It's easy, as you already know if you've ever daydreamed, and you can do it anywhere, silently, even with your eyes open, without disturbing anyone or embarrassing yourself. It's a great tool, so use it. And finally…· REFRAME. Shift your beliefs, consciously, from negative to positive. Try looking at one belief each day and moving it from negative to positive. Then extend this thinking to the entire frame you call YOUR LIFE.Miracle of miracles, after you've been doing this for a while, you'll note (or someone else may point out to you) that you're different. You've changed - and probably for the better. Try it and see. Success and Failure: Two Sides of the Same Coin

Author : Graeme Nichol
Failure is GreatYou are probably asking yourself what could be good about failing. Failing means … well … that you failed, that you didn't achieve the results you wanted and that things didn't turn out as you hoped. What could be good about that? The advantage is that you now know one way not to do something. And this is as useful as knowing one way of how to do something. As Thomas Edison said, "Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do in the first place doesn't mean it's useless.... Results? Why, man, I have gotten lots of results! If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is often a step forward.... "Failure is a learning opportunity, but only if you let it be. More often than not failure is seen as something that should be hidden and avoided and never admitted to. How often in your company do you think people make the same mistakes over and over again because no one ever admits to the mistake or examines why the mistake was made.Would it not be more cost effective and time effective if when a mistake is initially made that it results in a learning opportunity? Each time something doesn't go according to plan think about you could do next time to get the results you want? What was missing? What needs to be added? What needs to change?Once the answers to the questions have been thoroughly explored with an open mind and no assumptions, then take those learnings and apply them to the future. Every company should continually strive to learn and improve. Just because a particular method works doesn't mean it is the best one. Strive to improve.Be prepared to fail and learn – it is the only way forward.Celebrate SuccessesThe opposite side of the same coin – success. Just as it is important to analyze your failures and learn from them so it is also important that you celebrate your successes and repeat them.Every year we strive to do be better and be more successful at what we do. Often, however, we only remember successes that are so large that they hit us right in the face, when they are so large that everyone else congratulates you. We remember landing a $100 million dollar account or tripling our profits from the year before or being awarded some Presidential award. While these are amazing successes that you should definitely celebrate and tell the world about they are not the kind of successes that most of us can hope to achieve. The rest of us need to be happy with the smaller more mundane successes. Successes like generating a profit in our business, getting the client we have been trying to land or simply being thanked by one of our clients for a job well done.Although these may seem like small successes, lots of small successes like these add up to a successful business, motivated staff and a happy you. Now what if you could repeat each of your small successes so that you could achieve them on a monthly or weekly basis – wouldn't that spell big success for your business? To achieve that big success you therefore need to celebrate each of your small successes. You need to remember each of them, examine them and find a way of repeating them. Sit down now and think, over the last year, what you did well. Think about what you succeeded in doing, what someone thanked you for, and, where you were appreciated.Create a list of your successes – no matter how small – examine them to find a way that you could repeat them. What was the essence of the success that would make it repeatable? Break the success into small process steps, think about everything that you did to get to the end point of success. Not just the big steps, think about each little step that was taken. It is often not the big steps that determine a success – it is the little things. Maybe you wrote a client a thank you letter, or you called a client to see how they were doing. Maybe you referred a client to someone else to solve a problem that you couldn't. You could also have rewarded your staff or done something out of the ordinary for them to make them perform above and beyond.Think about each success in great detail. You should now be able to see where you did something differently to achieve the successful result. Your next step is to put together a plan on how you are going to repeat your past successes. Your plan should include each of those necessary steps that resulted in the success.By understanding and planning for your successes you will be able to repeat them and eventually be able to achieve the large success – a successful business or department.Plan for success, learn from failures.GRAEME NICHOL, President, Arcturus Advisors.Graeme Nichol has worked on 4 continents and in 117 unique businesses gaining experience in manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, communications, banking, direct marketing, consumer goods and retail amongst others. Accountability Circles, Peer-Leaders and Your Personal Posse

Author : Ken Donaldson
Have you ever noticed that successful people have a "team" that they surround themselves with? For example, the president has his cabinet, as well as numerous other advisors and consultants. The head coach of any sports team has countless assistants and trainers. Every CEO has a board of directors. And what about you?Who is on your cabinet?Who are your assistant coaches? And who is on your board of directors?Do you have anybody? Read on...One big reason people have difficulty accomplishing their goals is due to trying to do all the work in isolation and on their own.
In other words, you try to do something in a vacuum, all by yourself and without outside assistance. I have said before and I will say it again:You do not get any extra points for doing life all by yourself! In fact, you are far less likely to accomplish what you really want to by trying to do it all by yourself. It is time for you to give up the fear or ego or pride or whatever it is that has stopped you from reaching out to others. It is time to rely on the power of the group. There is an old scripture that says, "Whenever two or more are gathered, there I will be." This refers to the spiritual intervention of the Divine when there is a group (a "group" constitutes anything more than one person). What this means is that there is synergy in a group, meaning that one plus one equals ten. It is exponential power. The sum of the members is greater that the whole. There is automatically more power for you to access when rely on the power of the group. There are three distinct power groups for you to seriously consider in growing your life into more power and passion. One of these groups is the accountability circle. The purpose of this group is to hold you accountable to your commitments. Ever notice how you get more done when you have committed to someone else? That is the power of accountability.Furthermore, the people in this accountability circle can be used to check in with, as well as also being used to problem solve any obstacles that may come between you and your desired goals. They are also the people that will just flat out get in your face and kick you in the butt when and if your stubbornness happens to rise to the surface. I believe there are times when we all may need a good kick in the butt.Another of the power groups that carries a tremendous amount of power is that of your peer-leaders. These are individuals whose main function is to celebrate your accomplishments. With these individuals, you have already agreed that their primary function is to celebrate your wins. You are no different that the rest of us in that you need positive reinforcement for your efforts and accomplishments. Your peer-leaders are the people in your network to rely on for these needs. Every time you have put forth effort in accomplishing any of your tasks, it is your responsibility to contact these individuals and celebrate your efforts. The third group is the group that I like to refer to as your personal posse. Some people also refer to this as their "inner circle." These are the people that know you inside out, upside down, backwards and forwards. They know your strengths, weaknesses, dreams, failures, accomplishments and desires. Your personal posse, in fact, may at times know you better than you know yourself. The primary purpose of your personal posse is to give you a place of unconditional safety and to provide a sacred space for you to come into. The personal posse looks out for you and protects you.In addition, your personal posse also may do some scouting for you. Since these individuals know you better than anyone else, they know exactly what you are wanting in your life. Furthermore, they also know your absolutes and bottom lines, your deal makers and deal breakers, and your wants and desires. They can help find you the "missing pieces" that you are searching for. There are also other networks and communities that can be highly beneficial for you. Mastermind groups and brainstorming sessions can be of great use when you want a problem solved and/or a breakthrough to a new level in your life or business. These are very focused-oriented gatherings and are not designed to be as personal as your other networks. All of these networks and communities take time to develop. I often hear people complaining about not being able to find such people. Like anything else in life, if you make a 100% commitment to creating these networks and communities, you will surely find the people and develop the corresponding groups. Start groups yourself if you cannot find groups already established and you can filter the people who participate and determine what networks they would be the most appropriate to participate in. Also, be prepared to give back in an equal proportion. The goal here is to create a system of people who will support, challenge, encourage, confront and love you into your greatest self. They will help you to stay 100 percent committed to you. They will help you stay married to yourself, and in doing so, live the life of passion, purpose and power.Ken Donaldson has been based in Tampa Bay offering counseling, coaching, and educational programs since 1987. Busy, Busy, Busy: A Way of Life

Author : Douglas Woods
Being busy has become a way of life for many of us. So much so that we begin to feel guilty if we find ourselves not being busy or we feel uncomfortable if we find we have nothing to keep ourselves busy. If we see someone who is not being busy then we think they may be lazy or unwell. If we are not busy, we try to think of ways to look busy!In our work, in our office, in our home, we like to be busy. We may complain that we have not got a moment to ourselves and yet, when we find that time, we feel guilty and feel we should be doing something! In our minds we seem to be confusing being busy with achieving. Our efforts to keep busy seem to be replacing our drive to be successful. Perhaps we feel that if we keep busy, at some point our efforts will magically bring success. Or perhaps we keep ourselves busy to take our minds off thinking about other things.Yet, if you were to ask people what sort of life that would love to lead, how many would say they dreamt of a 'busy' life? Most of us would dream of a calm, peaceful and successful life, which is quite the opposite of a busy life.Being busy is not a virtue, it is not a goal. Being busy is what happens when we find ourselves adrift from what really matters in our life. Being busy is what happens when we find ourselves working to the values and goals of others in our lives; our boss, our line manager, the company, even our parents, partners, children and, yes, even the other people living in our street.Someone who looks busy may have the appearance of being successful, powerful, and influential but do they really feel that way? Usually not. Usually, the person feels flustered, annoyed, pressured and stressed. They feel as if they are not in control of their own time or their own lives and feel they are working to the demands of others.Keeping busy takes people away from their own thoughts and visions. It takes them away from working toward their own success or their own purpose. Busy people have little time to consider 'the big picture', they are busy working on a little piece of a puzzle without knowing where or whether it fits.People will say that they go to work and keep busy to earn money. This may sound fair enough but earning money is only a 'reason' for going to work. Having a 'reason' is not the same as having a 'purpose'. How many people would say that their purpose in life is to earn money? You may need to earn money, maybe lots of money, to achieve your purpose or live the life you want for yourself and your family but earning the money is not the purpose of life.Being busy has effects upon ourselves that we do not realise. We stop talking to people; I mean really talking to them. Sure, we may talk about whatever thing we are each busy doing but do we really talk about anything else? How many of these people do we really know? We may know a bit about the work they do but do we really know anything about them as people? Do they know anything about us? Being busy takes time away from other things and from other people. How many of us have heard our partner complain that they do not see enough of us? How many of us would like to spend more time with our children or more time for ourselves?Being busy has effects upon our health, how many of us have felt stressed as a result of being too busy? How many of us know we are under strain but fear to slow down in case we are seen as lazy or not pulling our weight? How many of us can find the time to book that urgent doctor's that we know we need but are just too busy to fit it in?So, now, ask yourself these questions;1) When I am being busy, whose purpose am I working for? Mine? My family's? The company's?2) When I am not being busy, do I ever feel guilty, lazy or devious?3) When I am being busy, how many people do I talk to? What do we talk about? Do I really know the people I talk to?4) If I were not being so busy, what else could I be doing?5) In the last week, how many successes have I had?6) Could I become more successful without being so busy?7) What benefits could it bring me and those close to me if I stopped being so busy?Douglas Woods is a fully accredited Life Coach, teacher and counsellor. How To Handle Rejection

Author : Allan Cowley
Everybody suffers rejection at some time or another in their life. The first step in handling rejection is to recognise that rejection is a necessary part of our private and professional lives. No success is achievable without encountering rejection of some form along the way. It encourages us to hone our skills.Let me use an example. Imagine that you are the author of a novel. In order to get your novel published you are going to have to send a manuscript to as many publishers as possible. Unless you get lucky, you are likely to have a very high rejection rate. However, this should not be viewed as failure, but merely as a part of the natural process of success. Every road to success includes backward steps as well as forward.Publishing is famous for the high rates of rejection that new authors encounter. If the publishers you have been in contact with are complimentary about your work, then you should take heart. However, if there is something at fault, it needs to be changed. Then you can send in your work again. This process of re-working your manuscript will bring it to the point where you can be sure it is your best work. Your best work would not have happened without the rejection.Which brings us to step two. Step two is simply to acknowledge the above i.e. that you are going to encounter rejection, no matter how good you are, and change your mindset to embrace this. I am not talking about trying to kid yourself, but if, after careful consideration, you are happy that all is well, then you should feel confident that the end result you desire will come to fruition. In this particular example, that is getting your book published.Go into every fresh challenge with the knowledge that each challenge is taking you one step closer to your goal. In achieving your goal you are going to take backward steps, so enjoy them, too, knowing that they are in effect moving you forward. If you never got rejected, you would not get better at what you do. Rejection is necessary for progress. This is the mindset you need when you are handling rejection.Allan Cowley is a Life Coach working with clients throughout the world. Success Formula Revealed - How You Can Apply The Ultimate Success Formula?

Author : Justin Koh
When you analyze the traits of successful people, you will notice that they all exhibit a successful pattern. This successful pattern is known as the Ultimate Success Formula which consists of 4 steps:1) Be very specific about your goals.2) Develop a strategy.3) Take consistent actions.4) Turn failure into feedback.1) Be very specific about your goals. When you ask people about their goals, some of them would say that they would like to get rich in Internet Marketing. However, the definition of getting rich could be the sum of $100,000 to some and 1,000,0000 to the others. Most people do not achieve their goals in the first place because they do not know EXACTLY what they want. Once they have set a specific goal such as earning $5,000 in the next month, they would be able to direct all the necessary resources that they have towards achieving the goal. Only when there is a specific goal can you develop an effective strategy.2) Develop a strategy.Once a specific goal has been set, the next step is to develop an EFFECTIVE strategy towards achieving the goal. The strategy of earning $10,000 online is completely different from the strategy of earning $100,000 online.Always learn and study the strategy from the successful. They have already proven what works and doesn't work and there is no need for you to reinvent the wheel by testing it out again. So if you want to be a successful copywriter, model the pattern of the top cats in this industry. If you want to achieve top rankings in search engines, model the strategies of the top 5 websites in search engine ranking.3) Take consistent actions. There cannot be any result if there is no CONSISTENT action taking place. Many people experience different states (motivation state, fear state, procrastination state, confidence state etc.) when trying to take action. For example, if you are not resolute, you would hold back from taking action. The ability to manage your state well for peak performance will require an amount of consistent action that can take place.4) Turn failure into feedback.Once the necessary actions have taken place, we either achieve or don't achieve our goals. People call it 'failure' when they fail to achieve their goals. There are 3 ways people react to failure:a) Keep repeating the same thing again. These people use the same strategy to keep working harder and harder no matter how many times they fail! Internet marketers continue to promote ineffective ads or in websites that don't work. If the strategy is an ineffective one, no matter how hard they tried, the result would be the same—an unfortunate one.b) Give excuses and give up. When these people don't achieve the goals they want, they will give excuses like "I don't have good copywriting skills" or "Internet Marketing is too competitive" and then they will start to give up.c) Get feedback, change strategy and take correction till you succeed. This group of people will view their failure as feedback, knowing that current strategies and ideas are not effective. They will continue to modify their strategies, continue to correct their actions and continue to get feedback until they achieve their goals. As the motivational poster would read, "Success is a journey, not the destination." Your decision and understanding to apply the Ultimate Success Formula not only puts you on the road to success, but on the road of success because you shall surely not fail!Gifts Download: http://www.internetmasterycenter.com/freeload.htmlJustin Koh & Nelson Tan are the architects behind Internet Mastery Center (http://www.internetmasterycenter.com) and Fresh Resources (http://www.freshresources.com).This article is free for reprint in your website, e-mails and other mediums with permission by default. Bad Habit? Drop It Like It's Hot!

Author : Fran Briggs
Sometimes when we approach the decision to eliminate a bad habit, we make it harder than it actually is. Here's a great intervention that I share with my clients. It has a very high success rate. Upwards of 77%. It's called, "Drop it like it's hot" and it can give you new eyes to see the reason and rationale for dropping any bad habit, fast! Here's why. The strategy utilizes your cognitive power to recall pain, as you simultaneously make an autonomous choice for the happier and healthier.Like most great interventions, it's very simple. However, this one has a foundation of fun. And, it's one of the most effective ways to quickly and permanently transcend the feelings of conflict, sense of loss, and deprivation typically associated with dropping a bad habit.Ironically, "drop it like it's hot," is a little like "stopping cold turkey." However, unlike the latter, "Drop it like it's hot" offers a powerful metaphor as an incentive. As such, re-creating a catalytic event actually encourages dramatic and permanent change. Here's how it works. Whenever you catch yourself engaging, thinking of, or doing an undesirable behavior or bad habit, immediately "drop it" like it's hot! Imagine the heat of hot, fiery coals. Pick up the habit; you pick up hot coals. And, we all know the consequences of that.As you can see, this illustration sheds new light on the negative consequences of the behavior. This is because there is a powerful association of motivation and excruciating pain. So, you automatically create an intuitive, autonomous, system for ridding yourself of your bad habit. When you can vividly see the horrific consequences in your mind and experience the event with your entire central nervous system, you are more inclined (and more motivated) to separate yourself from the bad habit. This exciting intervention serves as the ultimate, in behavior-modifying metaphors. It reminds us of our ability to exercise our power and control and drop any bad habit ... like it's really, really hot.Fran Briggs is a Certified Mental Health Resource Specialist. Self Esteem: 8 Universal Laws

Author : Jeff Herring
The Law of Stuart SmalleyGenuinely strong self-eteem has nothing to do with the Stuart Smalley character on "Saturday Night Live." Smalley was played by talk-show host A1 Franken who looked in the mirror to tell himself "You're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you." This is not the kind of namby-pamby-feel-good self-esteem we're talking about. The Law of DefinitionSelf-esteem is one of those frequently used terms that we believe we know the meaning of until we are asked to define it. Most folks define it as the way you feel about yourself. The problem is feelings can, and often do, change. The definition I have found most useful of self-esteem is: the strength and power of your belief in your self. The Law of Ends vs. MeansWhile working on increasing your self-esteem, remember it's just a means to an end, not the end in and of itself. I've known lots of unsuccessful people, and even people who continually do the wrong thing, and yet they feel good about themselves. Self-esteem is merely a means to the end if increasing the quality of life, for yourself and those around you.The Law of CompanySelf-esteem is strongly influenced by the company you keep. Hang around people with weak self-esteem and yours is likely to be weak as well. And guess what? Hang around people with strong self-esteem, and yours is likely to strengthen as well. The Law of Blame and AccuseI've heard so many people say "My self-esteem is low because I'm too this/that, I grew up without this/that and this/that has happened to me." Which usually leads me to wonder what does a person who is too this/that, grew up without this/that, and has had this/that happen to them, DO WITH THE REST OF HIS OR HER LIFE?The Law of ActionYou can learn about self-esteem, read about it, go to seminars, etc., and nothing will change if you don't do something with what you learn. In order to change something, you simply must TAKE ACTION!The law of NWBGWhile NWBG may sound like the name of a rock group, it's really a fast and easy way to measure and mprove your self-esteem. In vertical order, write the letters NWBG, vhich stand for Now-Worst-Best-Goal. Now, on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 is the worst and 10 is the best) rate your self-esteem the way it is Now, the Worst it has ever been, the Best it has ever been, and the Goal you would like it to be. This gives you a number next to each of the letters NWBG. If you are like most folks, Now is higher the Worst. This gives us some important information:How did you get from the worst to where you are now? The answers can be key for further strengthening your selfesteem. The Law of Higher MathNow we will do a little higher math in order to strengthen your self-esteem. Take the number for your Goal (let's say 10) and subtract from it the number for now (let's say 4), so it's 6. So that's six levels of selfesteem to travel, which is too big a chunk all at once.Let's make it manageable by taking one level at a time. What small, simple steps can you begin to take immediately to move you from a four to a five? And then a 5 to a 6, a 6 to a 7, and so on. In this way you can measure your progress as you go, and rather quickly strengthen your self-esteem.How's that for progress?Visit The Article Guy for more leading edge tips and tools for writing articles that bring you prospects, publicity and profits. Goal Achievement and Success

Author : Paul Jerard
There is not much difference between the two, except that goals can be short-term or long-term. However, success is the result of a "well planned" achievement campaign. So, you have to establish your priorities, in order to realize success. You don't want to spend too much time daydreaming, or in frustration, over a long-term goal, until you have overcome the smaller hurdles, in the way.The first task to take up is planning your goals. Whether you write them down or put them on a computer doesn't matter, as long as you realize, your plan will evolve. Remember the saying, "This is not carved in stone." If you keep this in mind you will be able to adapt your plan to the world around you, and "turn on a dime," when you have to.In fact, you must expect change. The universe is ever changing and in constant movement. Think about the movement at the sub-atomic level. We have electrons swirling around us at the infinitely small level. At the same time, the planets, stars, and galaxies are also moving. So how can you expect your life to remain in the same position or go according to plan. Whether you are having a good or bad day, life will change for better or for worse. So, be flexible in your plans, and be ready to adapt, without notice.Writing or typing your goals down, also allows you to envision them. I recently listened to Joel Osteen mention a principle that we must all live by. He said, " You have to enlarge your vision." If you learn anything from this page, you must live by these words. What ever you think in your mind, and feel in your heart, will become reality. If you are going to create your own reality, please make sure it is a good one. Also, know that your goals must create passion from within and know in your heart that you really want it. As a side note on this point, it also helps if your goal is helpful to mankind and moral.Find positive, hard working, and committed people, to share your dreams with. They should have all of those qualities and be trustworthy too. This is called a support group or a "mastermind" group. The old saying, "Two heads are better than one," applies to this principle. You will never be sorry, if you choose a group wisely. Everyone has strength and a weakness, but a group can use different thinkers, to its advantage, and become more powerful in, and of, itself. When things are not going according to plan, this can become a support group and work collectively on damage control, while "staying on track."Lastly, staying on track, toward the goal, is the key. Success might not happen overnight, but if you take progressive steps forward, and persevere, success will be, "right around the corner."Paul Jerard is a co-owner and the director of Yoga teacher training at: Aura Wellness Center, in North Providence, RI. He has been a certified Master Yoga teacher since 1995. He is a master instructor of martial arts, with multiple Black Belts, four martial arts teaching credentials, and was recently inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Get a Dynamic Personality for Super Success

Author : Anandrahi JS
Personality means characteristics and appearance of a person - pattern of thought, feeling , behaviour, communication ability and physical features . A child inherits many personality traits from its parents. Personality of a person takes its basic formation in the beginning period of childhood. Its experiences in the family and the society are very crucial. Friends, teachers and the environment of school have their own positive or negative impact. Adults need to be very careful while rearing a child because deep scars on the psychology of a child may have permanent marks. To develop positive thinking in the child parents must relate to each other in a positive way. With the help of good training a child or an adult can learn communication skills, different subjects, driving or computer operating. Similarly a training in personality development enhances the general as well as unique traits (characteristics which differentiate one from others) of a person. A teacher of personality development helps a person to get positive thought pattern, gain confidence, improve behaviour, learn better communication and develop a healthy physique.IMPORTANCE HAS RISENEveryone is influenced by an attractive personality. And without influencing others you can't get success in today's competitive world. Therefore the importance of personality development has risen very much. These days every good public school is careful about the personality development of its students. Some years ago nobody gave any importance to personality development in India. Emphasis was given only on physical appearance and expertise in work. But now the time has changed. It is an age of competition and economic revolution. Although opportunities of progress are everywhere yet a student has to work very hard to climb the stairs of a brilliant career. The person having a good personality can move through the difficulties with more confidence. Many people still think that personality is related to physical appearance of a person. If a person is well-built and wearing a good dress it is said that he/she is having a good personality. But it is not a rational approach. In case the inner personality of a person is weak he/she will lose impact as soon as he/she speaks or behaves. Such a person fails to create a lasting impression on others. Rising in career graph becomes a very difficult task. Therefore both inner and outer personality of a person should be strengthened.YOU CAN IMPROVEIn their best-selling publication 'Born to Win' well-known psychologists Muriel & Dorothy have written that a man is basically born to win. But due to negligence our winning potential doesn't grow to the best of its capacity. Mostly people develop their personality according to the expectation of others therefore they are unable to shine their unique traits. Therefore we need to break the barrier and rise bravely with our originality and uniqueness. Only then one can transform an ordinary personality into an impressive one.Previously it was thought that every person lived his or her whole life according to the personality script written in childhood. To change it was almost impossible. But after years of research and practical applications the man has progressed in the science of personality transformation. With the help of simple methods now anybody can develop a winning personality and change his or her future. Here are seven simple ways to give a dynamic touch to your personality:-1. SET AN AIM IN LIFEIf you sit in the boat of life without knowing your destination you will become the slave of circumstances and other people. Your progress or development will totally depend on your luck. The wind of circumstances will push the boat to any direction - you won't have any control on anything. And you will rarely be able to make things happen. You may even be crushed by the competition forced upon you by other people.
To change this scenario you need to set an aim for your life. It is true that a person has several aims in life but to decide about chief aim is essential to make good progress. When you have an aim it is like a destination - you can chart your route, plan your action and formulate strategies to reach their at a speed. The personality of such a person automatically get a sort of charisma - developed by his driving force.2. POWER OF KNOWLEDGEKnowledge is power. Nobody is impressed with a person who doesn't even know what is happening around or in the world. He is considered a fool whom no wise man or woman would like to befriend or follow. Therefore it is necessary to enrich your general knowledge. And you should be the master of the field in which you are working. To update your general knowledge: a) read newspaper, b) watch informative programs on TV, c) read good & popular books, d) interact (interrelate, communicate) with intelligent persons.3. LOOK CONFIDENTA look of confidence on your face impresses everybody. If you walk with a feeling of failure and frustration on your face people will shun away from you. Even if you are facing difficulties and worries in your life you must know how to think and look positive. Shake hands with others firmly. While shaking hands or talking make an eye contact with others. Speak less and with conviction. Such simple actions will maintain your confidence. Your self-confidence can not only conquer the mountains of difficulties but also the interview boards.4. SPEAK IN STYLEMost of the successful persons maintain a unique style in speaking. They speak clearly and forcefully. Be careful that you have a good command on the language you speak. Don't make grammatical mistakes else you may become a laughing stock. If necessary take training from a good teacher. Give extra care to your pronunciation. Speaking power is an essential trait of any good personality.5. DRESS UP SMARTLYA smartly dressed-up person is admired everywhere. By observing successful people in any field, marketing, business, movies, media etc., you will come to the conclusion that most of the successful persons in almost every field have a keen taste for good dresses. Good dresses also prove a stimulus for the wearer. He feels more confident and relaxed. There is a joyful glow on his face. His handshake is more confident. A bad dress always invokes inferiority complex. No good company hires a shabbily dressed person today.6.A HEALTHY BODYA body burdened with this or that disease may win pity of others but it is very difficulty for that person to maintain attraction in his personality for a long time. A healthy and smart look is absolutely essential to attract others. And if you work on it you can easily attain it. Take exercise regularly, play games or go for a morning walk - whatever suits your body and psychology. Eat balanced diet. It will strengthen the immune system of your body - keeping you healthy and fit for action.7. GOOD HABITSA man is generally a creature of his habits. With bad habits you may become a sheer nuisance for others. Then how will you impress them? Cleanliness, punctuality, completing your works on time, fulfilling your promises, having sincerity and dedication to work, listening others properly, keeping yourself away from smoking and drinking - are the habits which add sparkle and dynamism to your personality. They endear you to the people. You should also be friendly and polite while dealing with others. You won't be able to impress the people with an attitude of arrogance. If people feel uncomfortable in your presence it is a sign that you need to improve your behaviour. Others must feel easy while approaching or talking to you.Anandrahi
